Listing Phases

Most users will not invest time completing a listing in one sitting: The investment of time needs reward and proof. The process will be iterative and probably require nudges.

Evidence in Precedents: Linked In, Facebook etc.

  • Short - Easy - Sign up - get the essential contact information in case they drop before subsequent phases

  • Add business profile, claims, selling statement, logos and basic profile - including location and categories.

  • PEOPLE…. add bios and contact information. Skills and provenance. This is where a company comes alive and increases the chances of engagment

  • Start using the directory. Communicating and contributing/benefitting from the app promise!

Pragmatic Progress

Solution - agile development of prototype in lowest possible cost environment where work flows can be carefully monitored and managed.

Apply the design concept to a proven framework to minimise the unknown variables.

  • Express the concept and envisaged workflow in a ‘Functional Specifiction. This has been done extraordinarily well.

  • Take the concept design and create an initial system Design spec - an outline of the data tables, tools and workflows to realise the concept.

  • Working - but not fixed. (No plan survives the first customer feedback!!) lowest possible cost development - because it will change!! Also try to ensure that the platform is device agnostic.

  • Start with 5 ‘Trusted Trailblazers’ refine based on feedback. Iterate but dont chase the error by basing too much emphasis on feedback just yet.

  • Essentially a soft launch - but limited in scope with monitoring of usage - trigger points and prompting requirements and timescales.

Conclusion

Are there precedents or white label opportunities? Has anyone else done this? Are there economies of scale to be achieved by sharing?

The Commercial framework and revenue streams will help to dictate the pace of development and method of delivery.
